「耐震」は壁や柱など建物の構造自体を強化し、建物そのもので振動エネルギーを受け止め、その力に耐えられるようにする方法。
「免震」は地面と建物の間に 入れた免震装置が振動エネルギーを吸収し、建物に振動が伝わらないようにする方法・構造。
そして「制震」は鋼やゴムなどを使用したダンパーという振動軽減 装置などを壁や柱、屋上に設置し、建物の揺れを制限する方法・構造だ。
